Hi I'm Rich

I'm am married and have three children. I'm a facilities manager and live in Georgia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 21 years and have three kids. I am a facilities manager. I like watching and participating in sports and love to read in my free time. I like to travel to new places, especially if a warm beach is involved.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family who belonged to the Church and multiple generations of ancestors were members of the Church as well. However, just as those who convert to from other faiths, every person who is born into the Church must find their own testimony or witness at some point as well. That happened with me in my late teenage years as I prepared to serve a mission and preach the gospel. It's amazing to be able to pray to a loving God and feel of His love as our Father. Through the Holy Spirit, each one of us can receive a witness of the truth. I know that God lives and that he knows each one of us personally and that He sent His Son to be our Savior. It's wonderful to know that we have a living prophet on the earth today who receives revelation from God to help us in these troubled times. Also, we have The Bible and The Book of Mormon as witnesses of Jesus Christ that will help us as often as we read and study them.

How I live my faith

Since we do not have a paid clergy in this Church, I have had many opportunities to give service in varous positions. I currently help in the leadership of a men's group. We have a time on Sundays to teach each other the gospel and discuss it together. We also organize the men in pairs to go out and visit the members of the Church on a monthly basis, whether they come regularly or not. This is a great way to learn how we can help individuals and families and be a blessing in their lives. In our family, we pray together morning and night as well as spend a few minutes at the end of each day studying the scriptures. I think this is gives our kids strength and courage to withstand the evil in the world that they face on a daily basis.
