Hi I'm Emily Lewis

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a young, ambitious, dedicated, blue eyed girl. Growing up in a school where I was the only LDS girl my age became the greatest opportunity to live as an example of the true church, and my Savior, Jesus Christ, who I strive to become like everyday. I love who I am, and will never "be ashamed of the church of Christ." Romans 1:16

Why I am a Mormon

It's simple. I am a Mormon because the gospel makes me happy every day. I am Mormon because through righteous living, I can one day be with my family forever. I am Mormon because I have prayed to know of it's truth. Through the gospel I have come to understand God's personal sincere love for me and the plan he has in store for all of His children.

How I live my faith

I begin each day with a prayer. I try to focus each day on a Christ-like attribute. I am not perfect, but it is my humble start to becoming more like Christ through acts of service and a smile.

In whom should we have faith?

Emily Lewis
Faith is the foundation for this gospel. It is the first principle of the Gospel. All things proceed because of initial faith. In 1 Corinthains 2 it says that we should have Faith in God and not man. Faith isn't something you receive or you can give away. It is something that is nourished over time and little experiences overtime can help increase our Faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, who can do all things--if we have faith. Moroni 7:33. What is being a Mormon like?

Emily Lewis
Being a "Mormon" isn't just a religion. It is a lifestyle. One that is wholesome, enriching and a productive lifestyle. We know that we are here on this earth, to have our faith tested, to overcome challenges, and experiences trials, that are ultimately for our good. However, this life isn't just to be endured, it is more importantly to be enjoyed. "Adam fell that men might be, and men are that they might have joy." (2 Nephi 2:25). We find joy and happiness when we simply obey the commandments, live righteous lives by being worthy to attend the temple, and focus and centers our families and ourselves towards Christ. When Christ is the center of our life, all things will fall into place. I want to share this gospel with everyone I know. Why? Because the gospel brings me happiness, joy, love, and a greater sense of peace in this life. Although life as a Mormon may not always be easy, it is so much easier than the alternative. We are human. We make mistakes, we have trials to face, we have afflictions to overcome, but because of the knowledge of the Savior, and His Atonement for us, all things are possible. And we can face our adversities with optimism and the desire to gain a greater appreciation for the Saviors help to us every single day. With the Lord on our side, we will never fail.
