Hi I'm Cami

I grew up in Southern California. I'm living my dream as a wife and Mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and Mother. I graduated from BYU-Idaho with a BS in Health Science and minor in Home and Family living. My husband and I are in the process of building our home, so our hobbies include lots of hard work, painting, etc .. I'm a stay at home Mom, and love it! I'm so grateful to have a husband who cares and understands my role as a Mother enough to make this possible. I am also involved in our local MOPS group (Mothers of Preschoolers) where we believe in Learning to become better Moms so we can make a better world.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be raised in the church. So I was taught the principles of the gospel from a very young age. Those principles allow me to exercise faith and by so doing I choose to live the gospel and the commandments. When I do I am blessed and feel good/peace, I feel closer to my Father above and guided by His spirit. When I make wrong choices I feel regret and guilt, but I also feel hope. This is because I have been taught the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have learned about Our Savior and His atoning sacrifice in our behalf. I know that I can repent and be forgiven and made clean. I'm a mormon for many reasons, but mainly because I have received a witness of the truth that Christ is my Savior by the whisperings, comfort/love, and peace the spirit brings into my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith day by day. I strive to do what I know is right. I like to get involved in the community by attending and participating in story time at the library and playgroups. I serve in the church as advisor to the young women (12-13 year old girls). I Encourage leadership skills among the class, we have youth group on Wednesday evenings and I share my testimony with them when I teach Sunday lessons. I also strive to be a great mother by practicing patience quite frequently, and helping my kids learn and grow by fostering positive experiences. Like creating a Joy School group (a Value based preschool) and attending story hour at the library. I also try to be a good wife by being kind, tidy and cooking, and caring for my families needs. I try to live my life in a way so that others can see my convictions and beliefs by my actions, language, and presence. I try to live my testimony of my Savior so that by knowing me others might want to know Him.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

No, we are encouraged to search out answers for ourselves. There is a scripture we have that says something like, we are taught correct principles and then are able to govern ourselves. I believe that Christ and Heavenly Father's plan for our happiness is all about personal choice and accountability. We were given the freedom to choose for ourselves now and in Heaven before this mortal life. Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

There is no need for paid clergy because in the Church we understand that we are all brother's and sisters all striving to return to our Father in Heaven. We serve freely because we love God and "When you are in the service of your fellow beings, your only in the service of your God." Show more Show less
