Hi I'm Kelby

I am from Wyoming and I am attending the University of Wyoming

About Me

Growing up I enjoyed doing sports including football, wrestling, and track. I always tried to do my best in school and take the hardest classes that I could. I do a little bit of everything like paintball, shooting, video games, snowboarding, scuba diving, and I really want to go sky diving. While in high school I pretty much hung out with everybody, I consider myself a nerd and many times throughout my life I have seen the Lord's hand involved. For the first two to three years of my life I was deaf, and after much prayer and fasting from my family the Lord gave me my hearing back. Family is very important to me and my religion is part of who I am.

Why I am a Mormon

Well I was born into the faith, but I have gained a strong testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have come to learn for myself and through the power of the Holy Ghost that the message shared is true. I have seen the unhappiness that comes through not living up to God's expectations that he has for his children, but the ultimate reason that I am a Mormon is because I have put it to the test. Through the fruits of sincerely reading and praying about the Book of Mormon, going to church, and feeling the peace that comes through living the commandments of God, I know for myself that this is the true church here on the Earth once again restored by Jesus Christ through his prophet Joseph Smith, that I am a son of God and Jesus Christ is my Savior, and that I can once again return to live with my Father in Heaven with my family if I faithfully endure to the end.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by example and trying to follow the example of Jesus Christ. I dedicated two years of service to the Lord by serving a mission in Kentucky and helping the people who live there. In every setting I try to do what is right. Because we have prophets who live today, I listen to their counsel because they are speaking for our Father in Heaven, apply what they have taught in my life, and then share it with others.
