Hi I'm Wayne

I grew up on Guam. I speak Spanish. I have a weakness for Milk Duds and U2. I am a "big picture" kind of guy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

First of all, I'm a husband of one of the busiest, most optimistic women I know. I am a Dad of five children, ranging in age from 9 to 25-- whom I happen to think are 5 of the most interesting people on earth-- and I am also a technology sales professional who really, really loves what he does for work. Beyond that, I am a mint-chocolate-chip ice cream loving, basketball games-outside-on-the- pavement playing, eclectic music listening, closet "wanna-be" author--and I happen to be a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for a variety of reasons. First, it answers questions we all have regarding the purpose of life and our place as spiritual sons and daughters of God. Secondly, being a Mormon helps me become a better Christian-- someone who believes that Jesus Christ is my Savior and demonstrates that belief by serving others, loving and forgiving. Finally, I am a Mormon because it allows me to make covenants that I believe will allow me to be a husband and Dad --my two greatest roles--forever. Being a Mormon is not for the faint of heart. It takes effort. It takes commitment. It takes time. Being a Mormon is who I am.

How I live my faith

I currently teach a Sunday School class to youth ages 16 and 17. Our course of study this year is the New Testament.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Wayne
Together with my wife, we are tasked with raising our children providing them with opportunities to develop their talents and abilities and also to learn how to work, how to be a good citizen and neighbor, how to prepare themselves to be productive, positive contributors to society and to give them the tools necessary to withstand negative influences. My wife is my partner, my friend and my love. My Dad used to say that my Mom made all the small decisions and my Dad all of the big ones and so far in their marriage, there hadn't been any "big" decisions. We try to be led by the Spirit of the Lord with respect to raising our children and managing a household.  Show more Show less
