Hi I'm Marie

I'm married to my best friend. I am a nurse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a dialysis nurse in New York City. I grew up on a farm in a small town in California and have lived in Utah, Alberta, and Ecuador. I have worked as a pizza delivery driver, a custodian and a nanny. I love being a nurse because I love people and I love helping them feel better.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it helps me be a better person. I love that there is a prophet, called of God, to talk to us today. As a nurse, I work with many people with addictions, some of which have ruined their lives. I am so grateful for the Word of Wisdom which teaches me to avoid tobacco, alcohol, coffee and tea and to focus on eating healthy foods.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday. I read the scriptures each day as I ride the bus to work. I try to serve those around me by giving up my seat on the bus or train, picking up change for someone who has lost it, and babysitting for friends who need a date night. I visit three wonderful women every month as a visiting teaching and love learning from them. As part of my church calling, I am organizing and promoting a clothing exchange for the community.
