Hi I'm Brant

I am from California, I study Civil Engineering and I speak Finnish. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now I am studying engineering at university, I spend a lot of time in the library. I am also working part time teaching Finnish. I really enjoy my work, and I think that teaching and engineering are definitely part of my future. I enjoy endurance sports such as running and cycling, as well as watching hockey and cross-country skiing, but playing with my nieces and nephew is probably my favorite thing to do!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of how much better my life is for it. Life is hard for everyone, but living the Gospel of Jesus Christ in His Church really makes life worth it. I know that Jesus Christ is my personal Redeemer and I hope that I can help others know this also.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by simply trying to be a good Christian and help people in need that I come across in my daily life. They might be and old friend or a family member or even a complete stranger, but I have found that the best way to live my faith is to try to help other people, and in that way I try to follow the example that Jesus Christ set for us all. And even though I am often not as good as I should be, I can find forgiveness through the atonement of Jesus Christ and through repentance.

What is a ward/stake/branch?

A 'stake' is a unit of the church which usually includes several congregations. The Lord has said 'My House is a House of order' and so it isn't surprising that His church would have some kind of organization. The word 'stake' references Isaiah's analogy of the Kingdom of God as a tent with stakes. Show more Show less
