Hi I'm Brady

I grew up in Arizona. I'm an accountant. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a student and am getting my Master of Accountancy. I love to play Ping Pong and spend time outdoors with my wife.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church because it brings me peace and happiness in this life. The knowledge of being able to live with my wife eternally is worth more than anything to me. The Lord's teachings taught through the scriptures and the Church help me to be happy in this life and know the reason why I am here - they help me to know how I can live with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I am as active as I can be in the church and still have plenty of time to devote to my work and family. I am currently serving as a counselor to the Bishop (the leader of the congregation), which allows me the opportunity to interact with all of the members of our congregation and get to know them better. The people that I meet and their devotion to the Lord and their family is very encouraging to me and help me live a life faithful to the Lord and my family.

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

Some people refer to the Church as the "Mormon" church because we believe, in addition to the Holy Bible, in a book of scripture called The Book of Mormon. We believe this book is sacred and is scripture to us, just like the Bible. It doesn't replace the Bible, but is a companion to it and another testament of Jesus Christ. Mormon was the name of a prophet, like Noah and Moses, that lived anciently on the American continent. He compiled the writings of many ancient prophets here on the American continent. Just like the Lord called prophets around the Holy Land, he called prophets in the Americas. The writings of these prophets comprise the Book of Mormon. Show more Show less
