Hi I'm Ed

I'm Ed, and I'm a Mormon. I make my living as a pilot. I enjoy spending time with my 4 grandchildren.

About Me

Growing up in North Carolina, I joined the Army and served for 24 years. I learned to fly helicopters and airplanes while serving, and continue to fly now. The father of three and grandfather of one, I love being a Dad and husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with parents who encouraged going to church. I was active as a Southern Baptist and gained a testimony of the Saviour. In my late 20's, I was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I loved learning about the organization of the Church, with a living Prophet to guide is in these latter days. After serious prayer and pondering, I came to know that it was true, and have enjoyed serving a loving Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ by serving my fellow man. It means the world to me and is such a wonderful anchor to my soul.

How I live my faith

First, I support my family by providing a safe home that is a refuge from life's storms. It's important that my children and grandchild know they can always "come home". Through the youth programs of the church, my son became and Eagle Scout. Those were very rewarding times. I now serve as the Ecclesiastical leader in my local church and have the opportunity to help organize many of our weekly functions. I love to have the missionaries in my home for a meal. They always bring a wonderful spirit.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Found in our cannon of scriptures as modern day revelation, the Word of Wisdom is a means by which we can live a healthier life. The earth was created with all we need to sustain life in abundance. By focusing on the wholesome foods and abstaining from addictive substances, we show respect for our bodies. Show more Show less
