Hi I'm Diane

I'm 4' 11'', I love tye-dye, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Probably two of my favorite things are bright colors and relationships. I am finishing up my Bachelor's degree in Marriage and Family Studies and find the study of relationships fascinating! I love talking to my friends and family about relationships and about how to make them stronger. I wear tye-dye every Thursday because the creativity and brightness of tye-dye makes me happy. I am the second youngest in my family with three older sisters, one older step-brother, and a younger step-sister. I love to be in the kitchen with my sisters cooking and cleaning and laughing. Part of what makes me who I am is my size. I am "petite" as my mom calls it. Despite the fact that I am barely 5' tall and have to wear kids shoes, my two favorite quotes are "Dynamite comes in small packages" and "By small and simple things are great things brought to pass".

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon, but that is only a small part of why i am a Mormon. Since I've grown up and left home there have been many times when I could have chosen to stop following the teachings of my childhood. However, I am still a Mormon because I have experienced for myself the joy and peace that come from living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that I am a daughter of God and that he is aware of me and my life. Knowing this brings such comfort in my life and helps me to face each new day with hope and courage. Even in my moments of frustration and sorrow I have felt the Holy Ghost witness to me of God's love for me. And so I continue to be a Mormon because I love God, with all my heart.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living with faith. I do the things that God has asked me to do through His scriptures and through His modern day prophets. These things include praying daily, reading the scriptures daily, going to the temple weekly, and seeking to love all people and serve whenever I can. I attend church every Sunday where I partake of the Sacrament and am reminded of the covenants I have made to God to live His commandments and always remember His son Jesus Christ. Living my faith impacts every aspect of my life. In all that I do I try to be like Jesus Christ.
