Hi I'm Aubrey

I'm a piano teacher. I love to sing. My husband and I are expecting our first child! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now my husband and I are anxiously waiting the arrival of our first son. He'll be here any day now! My husband and I are both college students. I am studying vocal performance, and my husband is preparing for nursing school. I teach piano, and am starting to teach others to sing as well. My dream is to write music and sing for others. I really would love to make my music well known so that I can share my beliefs through song.

Why I am a Mormon

I truly began to understand my Heavenly Father's love for me when I was 20 years old. Up until that point, I was very lost and confused about who I was. My family didn't get along very well, and I longed for peace. I started to learn of God's love for me while reading the Book of Mormon. I felt a reassuring peace as I prayed in sincere prayer to Him. I came to know that the Mormon church is Christ's church upon the earth, but I really came to know so much more than that. I learned that my sins and mistakes could be forgiven and forgotten by my loving Heavenly Father, and they have been. They have been because His Son, Jesus Christ, has carried my sins and burdens already in the act called the Atonement. He voluntarily felt all of the bad I would experience in my life so that He could erase those bad things as I turned to Him. As soon as I chose to forsake and discontinue the bad things in my life, He forgave me freely, and filled me with immense peace. I continue to know that as I turn to my Heavenly Father in prayer, I am helped in every way. My sins and imperfections continue to be forgiven as I change my ways. I know with all of my heart that this church is God's way of helping all of us to learn of Him and to feel and know of His love. I know this is true without any doubt. I will always strive to do what He asks of me because I know He knows best, and that He just wants me to be happy. I know that every good thing comes from Him. I'm truly so grateful to call myself a Mormon. "Mormon" is really a nickname, though. The truth is, I am a daughter in His kingdom upon the earth, and I have a glorious future awaiting me, all because I am following His teachings.

How I live my faith

My husband and I are currently missionaries for our ward. Our ward consists of a couple hundred people or so who meet at the same time because we all live near each other. As missionaries, we get to help people who are new to the Church to understand the principles of the Gospel better. We strive to help them live Jesus Christ's teachings, so that they may be happy and safe in life.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Aubrey
Read the Book of Mormon with a willingness to know the truth. Ask God in prayer from Him to let you know that it's right. Go to church! You will feel a peace there that isn't like anywhere else in this world. Show more Show less
