Hi I'm Angie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother of 5 children. I graduated from college with a degree in behavioral science and health, but made a choice early on to stay at home and raise my kids. People tell me that my degree should be a perfect fit for raising kids, but every day is an adventure at learning how to parent. House cleaning is not my thing---it’s a necessary evil. What I prefer to do is volunteer. I volunteer in the classroom, in the community, on the PTSA board, in my church callings, and I especially like to volunteer to go out to lunch with my husband and friends on a regular basis. ☺ I volunteer to help my kids with their homework, take them to lessons and activities, teach them, and tuck them in at night. When I’m not volunteering I love to run, learn new things--like tennis, read, research things, and travel.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of Jesus Christ and His gospel. I have come to know that He has the power to make my life better. I was raised in a Mormon family and taught from a very young age to obey the word of God. In college I took a course at the University on the New Testament. In that class I began to feel my Savior’s love in a way I had never felt it before. I began to realize that his life’s mission on this earth had personal significance to me. I began to realize that even I was a benefactor of His great sacrifice. No one knows what challenges life will bring them, but there is one person who has descended below all things to know how to help us through the trials that we will face. I’m a Mormon because time and again I have felt Christ’s love and the peace of his healing power and He is who I want to follow.

How I live my faith

To live ones faith I think it is important to understand it, so each day I study the scriptures my faith is based on (The Book of Mormon, The Old Testament, and New Testament) along with the counsel from living prophets in our day. Through this study I'm continually reminded how to live. Being an honest, clean, moral, kind, law abiding citizen is important to me. Teaching the same things to my children matters to me too. Living my faith is much more than appearing at church on Sunday. It is something I am working on everyday.
