Hi I'm Cody

I grew up in the desert and like to crawl around in hot Arizona attics while fixing broken air conditioners. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been blessed with a beautiful wife for the past two years. We are expecting our first child (a girl!) this December! I like to crawl around in hot Arizona attics fixing air conditioners. Yeah, sounds weird, but I love my job. I also enjoy welding and playing around with metal. I have done things from up-side-down bikes to elegant front entry doors to auto restoration. TIG welding is my favorite. Right now I have the opportunity to be an Assistant Scoutmaster for the 12 and 13 year old Boy Scouts. It is a responsibility I thought I would not enjoy, but after learning what it is all about, I love seeking to be a positive influence in their lives, besides, I get to go camping almost every month!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have taken the challenge in the Book of Mormon to read it, ponder it, and pray to have the Holy Ghost whisper through our feeling if it is true. I enjoy knowing where I came from, why I am here, and where I can go after this life, along with the steps how to get there. I am grateful for a modern day prophet who reveals God's will for humanity in this time on the earth.

How I live my faith

I continually read from the scriptures daily, mostly from the Book if Mormon. I enjoy daily communication with my Father in Heaven through prayer. I strive to keep God's commandments in order to sustain the influence of the Holy Spirit in my life. When I am doing these things, and living the principles and doctrines taught in the church, I experience the most joy in my life.
