Hi I'm Sabrina

I'm a Paediatric nurse who loves to work with children.I am proud to be a Mormon i live it and i love it .

About Me

My name is Sabrina i have lived in London all my life however i have Jamaican heritage. I am a newly qualified nurse ,i love socialising, listening to music and dancing in my spare time.I have a special love for Heavenly Father and the Saviour Jesus Christ, this love focuses my thoughts and actions on trying to be the person that they will be please with.My life is a mix mainly of work and Church but the gospel has provided me with and continues to prove me with joys that i could not find anywhere else.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church when i was 11 years old at the time my knowledge of the gospel was very basic and all i payed attention to was how i felt. When ever missionaries from the church came around to teach me and my mum i always felt a warm feeling of peace only now do i know that was the spirit. However at that young age that feeling alone was all i needed to confirm to me that the true church of Jesus christ was back on this earth today. When i was 18 i prayed again for a confirmation that this church was true and the same warm spirit filled me.Ever since they i have continued to feast of the gospel because it proved us with soooo much truth that eliminated the questions like 'why am i here?'what is the purpose of life'. The missionaries teach these basic principles they are something that all should hear. I am a latter day saint because the principles we are taught and the guidance we are given are there to keep us in the path of good to help us get back to Live with our Father in Heaven again. The church teaches that we pray to Heavenly father to find out if the principles are true ,we are not just expected to follow without personal confirmation through the spirit.I am grateful for this because not only does this give me the chance to build on my knowledge but also the opportunity to develop a better relationship with my Father in Heaven. Knowing that this church has Jesus Christ at the head gives me great comfort,to know that we can still receive revelation in these days.

How I live my faith

I am currently the Relief society president of my ward which basically is a calling that involves me and my councillors supporting the Bishop in watching over the Sisters 18+ in the ward(members within the local area). We do this by helping them to increase faith and personal righteousness ,strengthen families and homes as well as seeking out and help those in need. This calling has been a blessing in my life it has helped me to become more mindful of others needs and to work as a sisterhood in supporting those in need. This calling was definitely a big responsibility at a young age however it has taught me to trust in the Lord,if we trust in him he will help us preform any tasks that we need to do.Once we are in the serve of our Lord we are only in the serve of our God.Having the desire to serve is the first step and Heavenly father will help with the rest. I have no doubt that any success that has come about in my life is due to my Heavenly father's support and guidance through the holy ghost. With faith all things are possible.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Sabrina
At the age of 11 i was taught by the missionaries and baptised into this church at that time the spirit confirmed it was true to me.However as i grew older i began to doubt the church mainly because of the pressures i was facing from the world as a teen. One thing that has always impressed me about the church is that they dont expect you to believe the church is true just because someone has told you it is.The church believes that the only way you will find out for yourself if it is true is by following the teachings in James 1: 5-6.Through praying to our Heavenly father we will recieve a personal answer from him. When i prayed at the age of 18 my faith in the church was confirmed, i was filled with the Holy Ghost. This feeling to me can only be described as a warm feeling inside, the same feeling you feel when you see a new born baby. The happiness you will feel when you pray to find out about this church will be a feeling you will never forget and something you cherish each time you feel it.
