Hi I'm Heather

I am a stay home mom. I do stainedglass, I like yoga, crocheting and flowers! I don't like to cook. I 'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an Army brat and now an Air Force wife. I don't claim to be from any one place...I am an Amercian! I currently homeschool 1 of my 3 children, one of them has autism. I have a degree in Psychology. I am a dabbler in hobbies, but my main hobby is raising good hearted kids who care about people. I don't care if they are brilliant, sport stars, musical or artistical maestros, but I do care if they are good, kind and thoughtful individuals. They are my work in progress.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized when I was 8 years old by my Dad. I believe my life has a reason and a plan and the Church of Jesus Christ has consistently provided me opportunities to understand who I am and my relationship to Jesus Christ and what Jesus Christ wants me to do while I am on earth.

How I live my faith

I co-teach a Sunday School class with my husband on Strengthening Marriages and Families.

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

Heather
Every person on the earth is a child of God and should be treated with respect and love. We believe that homosexuality is a behavior and not a condition someone is born with. While there are many unanswered questions as to the hows and why this affects people we may know and love, biblical scriptures and modern revelation continue to teach us that engaging in homosexual behavior is a serious and grevious sin to God. I hope that we can strengthen those who struggle with this temptation to be strong so they can live in harmony with God's expecations and laws. God is real and will bless us if we keep His commandments. God ordained marriage. Marriage between a man and woman came from God and is central to His plan for His children to raise healthy families who are committed to Him and will seek Him through their lives, so they can return to Him again.
