Hi I'm Daniel

I grew up in Arizona. I love to swim. I love to cook. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a missionary in Florida and am having the best experiences of my life here. I did about a year of college before coming out and will finish when I return. I plan on studying mechanical engineering because I love learning how things work. I love a little competition, especially in swimming and in Ultimate Frisbee. I come from a typical big "mormon" family, with 5 brothers and 2 sisters, and it is the greatest gift I have been given.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason behind why I'm a Mormon has changed over the years recently. When I was growing up, it was mostly because my parents were Mormons. I loved going to church and playing with my friends. But as I've grown older, I've had to make a decision for myself if this Church was true. Why would I choose to follow something that I don't know for myself is true? So, over a couple years as I began to search for truth, I slowly built up my own testimony of this Church and most importantly, of Christ. I have never had a vision or marvelous event in which I then knew that it was true. Yet there were a couple of experiences where I felt inside of me a peace and warmth spread through me as I thought hard about our Savior. It is through experiences like these that I can truly say that Jesus Christ lives! I had a desire to follow and learn of Him, and this church has done that. I feel closer to my Savior as I follow His teachings through this church.

How I live my faith

As a missionary, I get the opportunity to share my faith with all those around me. The main way that I live my faith however is putting Christ's teaching into effect in my life, like reading His words and serving His children. I pray often for guidance and strength to do what He would have me do. My primary focus is to invite others to come unto Christ through faith, repentance, and by helping people make the changes in their life so they can be baptized. I have never felt greater joy than seeing someone else make that step and see the light and the joy in their face.
