Hi I'm Jason

I love being with friends and family along with cycling, rock climbing and disc golf. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently working as a business manager Fort Worth, Texas. I like to play and watch most sports. I play the guitar a little bit to relax. I mostly like to use my free time having fun with friends and family. I also serve in the LDS church by helping others learn about Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a Mormon but decided to find out for myself what the religion was all about. One day in college as I was reading a part of the Book of Mormon I read that God ..." is the same yesterday, to-day, and forever...". I sat and thought about how God had called prophets like Moses (yesterday) and looked for one in my day (today). I remembered the story of Joseph Smith. I then reviewed all I had learned about the church and prayed to ask God if it was true. The answer was a resounding yes! I felt an underlying peace and joy about the answer as well. I'm a Mormon because of this answer. I realized that God is doing what He did in Biblical times again in my day; namely organizing His church and preaching His doctrine. I have drawn closer to Christ because of the teachings of His prophets and the authority His church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provides.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a true disciple of Christ; someone who cares for others and helps others along the way. I have the opportunity to serve in my congregation by helping those who are trying to learn more about our faith. I help answer questions, share my beliefs in Christ and His church and try to help them strengthen their relationship with Christ. I help those who are new to our church continue to grow in the gospel. I try to be an example of Christ.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Mormon women are great women who exercise faith, hope and charity often. My mother, though she had a degree from a university decided to stay at home to raise us, believing we were more important than anything else. I am a better person for that loving sacrifice. My two sisters and sister-in-law all strive to be great people and love and serve others. We do believe in equality of men and women and recognize that each gender has different strengths and one without the other is not complete. I believe we hold women in high regard as we champion that great blessing called Motherhood as one of the most important 'jobs' one can have. Show more Show less
