Hi I'm Kym Heninger

I'm a wife, a student, a crafter, I love working with kids, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for about 4 years to a wonderful, loving, and devoted husband. I enjoy working with children, unfortunately we don't have any of our own yet. We hope that will happen soon. Some of my hobbies include reading, crocheting, cooking, bread baking, canning, and watching movies. I am currently going to school to be an elementary school teacher. My husband and I like to go on walks, read , and try new restuarants together. I come from a large and loud family of 8 kids, with almost 19 nieces and nephews.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true!! I have always been a member of this church and pretty much my whole family, imediate and extended are members of the church. I didn't really have a typical conversion like those who join this church, I have always known that this church is true and never doubted it. However, throughout the years through amazing teachers, much study, service, and testimony building experiences I have gained a better, more perfect, understanding of the truthfulness of the gospel and a testimony that is built on a sure foundation (Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ). I love the opportunities I have in this church to serve, to grow in every aspect of my life, for the knowledge I gain, the understanding I have about where I came from, why I am here, and where I am going, and for the wonderful people I get to meet and share amazing experiences with- they are my family as well. I cannot imagine my life without the church and without the knowledge, balance, and comfort it brings to mylife. That is why I am Mormon.

How I live my faith

Being Mormon, I have the opportunity to serve in many ways. I get to help plan and execute activities that all get to enjoy and participate in. At present I get to work with the children in the church between ages 3 and 12 helping them to learn the basic principles of the gospel to help them build their own testimonies. I love this opportunity and it helps prepare me for when my husband and I have kids. I also get to help other sisters in my ward by being a Visiting Teacher. This calling allows me to visit sisters in my ward, make sure that they are doing well and teach them a short message every month. I am not always the best, but it means a lot to me when I can help others and teach them things from my heart.
