Hi I'm Dakota

im from socal, i love the rain and im a mormon

About Me

ok so i grew up in southern california and i have pretty much lived there most of my life. Some of my favorite things to do is play any instrument, preferably in private, i enjoy billiards, poker, role playing games, i play dungeons and dragons alot, and i just got into reading. i love learning everything and anything i can. i know having an open mind is one of the most important quality's for happyness.

Why I am a Mormon

well, when i was about 16, I started to question things. i was really depressed and then i found hope in my religeon wich is the mormon church but it didnt stop there. i knew that was somthing any church could give me so i searched for more truth weather it was from the mormon truth or not and i found the most complete truth in the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints, or the mormons. it wasnt only that, in the bible Jesus Christ said that by your fruits ye shall know them and i found this church's fruits to be the best and that is where i found solace in this church. i know Christ was our savior, i know Heavenly Father blesses us innumarably and that with Jesus Christ i can do all things. This church is the only one that can produce the faith nessisary for the celestial kingdom of God and although satan tempts us daily, although we might drag ourselfs down, Christ and Heavenly Father love each and every one of us enough to come get us. To come save us from torments and despair of a weary heart ready to fall into the gaping jaws of hell.

How I live my faith

right now im on a mission till october 2012. I try to be obediant and I am happy. this church is as easy to follow as anything else in this world and alot of people dont see that. I know that I am not the best member but the love of every one is ever present. I am a pretty big guy standing 6'6" so i do lots of service and my motto so to speak is "lift where you stand" regarding membership in this church. i may not do as much as other people but i do what i can.

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

i ask, why not? an ordinance such as baptism is unique in every church. We belive that all men might be saved through the atonement of Christ, as they keep the commandments and particpate ordinances of the gospel. This church is the true church restored on earth and the only church with the preisthood authority authority to act in Gods name to do his will here on earth. some who read this or hear it might take offence but it is true. That authority is what make baptism in this church unique and nessisary. Show more Show less
