Hi I'm Darrin

I'm a Mormon, a happy husband, and father, and a geologist.

About Me

Hi, that beautiful girl in the picture with me is my daughter. She is the sweetest, happiest, angel of a little girl, and I attribute all of those traits to the hard work and love of her mom. Those two girls mean everything to me. I grew up in a small town where I spent most of my early years either working on the farm or playing sports. My dad and uncle raised cattle, and working with the cows provided ample character building opportunities for me and my four brothers. After high school, I went on an LDS mission. It was an amazing experience. I love the people there so much, and it was a pleasure to serve them. It was so much fun sharing the gospel of Jesus every day. Since then I have been in school, and just recently started a full time job. I have a PhD in geology. That's right...I love rocks and dinosaurs, too. Not appreciate, not like, LOVE.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my mom and dad taught me the gospel of Jesus Christ from birth. Their powerful witnesses of Jesus and exemplary lives of service instilled in me a seed of faith. That seed of faith has become a deep love for the Savior. As I read daily from the Book of Mormon and the Bible my love for him grows. I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is the church that Jesus established among his disciples, now restored in our day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through service. Having a rough day? Try this...find someone to serve. Your problems will seem small next to others, and your worries will fade as you look outwardly. Knowing that I am helping someone else always boosts my self confidence. I know it's what Jesus would do.
