Hi I'm Sherri!

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of five young adults and I love my family. My husband has really tried to provide for us through his service in the military. I have a deep and abiding love for the Temple Marriage and being a Forever Family. We have lived in Central America and in the USA and found that the Church is still the same no matter where we go. I know that Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are real and bless me daily and without them my life would be empty.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church and found that I love the simple truths of the Gospel located in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have really been able teach these simple truths to my children and many others. The joy and peace of mind is what I truly find in the gospel and many of the members throughout the world.

How I live my faith

The challenges of everyday life is to live the gospel and do it well. I find that there are days that are harder than others. When life is easy it is not a problem but when life gets complicated I have to rely on the scriptures, prayer and my faith to help me through, I also lean on the covenants and promises found in the temple that help to enrich the life that I lead.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Sherri!
The priesthood of our Heavenly Father was to be given to all men that are worthy. The Church is considered a lay ministry and greatly blessed to participate in the running of the Church. Show more Show less

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Sherri!
They believe that we are a sect that reads only from the Book of Mormon and do not believe in Jesus Christ. These are false statements and need to be changed. We do believe in the Bible and Book of Mormon as witnesses of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We also believe in modern day revelation and many do not understand that, but if you think about if your prayers are answered or that Heavenly Father speaks to men today then we cannot be a cult. Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

Sherri!
Our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are the ones who call and direct our prophet today and yesterday. The Church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it is His Church He is the one to call and ordain the leaders of our Church today. Show more Show less
