Hi I'm Fabiola Chavarria

I'm an education major with a focus on autism.I'm Latina who loves dancing & scrap booking.I'm a daughter,sister,and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Bolivia, South America but I grew up in Florida since I was four years old. I was raised by my Dad, he is an amazing person. I have four brothers and one sister. I love my family we might not be perfect but we try each and every day. I am going to college right now pursuing to become an elementary school teacher. Hoping one day to open a small clinic to help autistic children. I love working with kids; they always bring a smile to my face. I love dancing and going on swings. I recently have come to love football, watching and playing. I like playing tennis and volleyball. I love taking pictures and making scrap books, to treasure all the precious moments in my life. I am a convert to the church. My dad, sister, and I joined the church on August 3rd, 2003 it changed my life forever and has made me the person who I am today.

Why I am a Mormon

I couldn't imagine life without knowing what my purpose and mission here on earth is. It brings joy to my life to know I am a daughter of God and He knows me and loves me. I love the plan of happiness, to know that one day I can return to live with my Heavenly Father, not alone but with my loved ones. When times in my life get hard, when I'm tired, and I feel like I can't any more I always remember Jesus Christ and His atoning sacrfice that He died so that I can return to live with God. He doesn't love me because I am perfect but because He is perfect. It doesn't matter where I am the gospel of Jesus Christ is the same every where. I got introduced to the church through my father when I was 13 years old. He saw a Mormon commercial for a "Free DVD" and being a latina family "free" is always good. Two missionaries brought the DVD to our house where we received lessons. It was amazing how much things started to make sense that Heavenly Father was so mindful of us. The missionaries always left us with commitments to read and pray. Me and my family prayed to know if it was true what we were being taught. We received our answer so we got baptized on August 3rd, 2003. That day I like to think of as when I was born again. Because I was clean from all sin and made promises with Heavenly Father. I felt happy and I knew it was because Heavenly Father was happy for the decision I made with my family. I know that Jesus Christ lives and because he lives we can return to live with God. Families can be together forever through temple covenants. Heavenly Father does hear our prayers, he answers them. Joseph smith was a prophet and today we have a living prophet Thomas S. Monson who receives revelation. The book of Mormon is true it testifies of the divinity of Christ. As we study The book of Mormon along side the Bible we will come to learn more about the plan of happiness Heavenly Father has for us and we can become more like Jesus Christ and have eternal happiness.

How I live my faith

By being Happy! Being of good cheer makes any gloomy day become bright. Having the gospel in my life and applying it makes me happy. By doing my callings and serving others humbly, it helps me remember Jesus Christ's love. I have trust in the Lord that as I do what he commands, I will be blessed. I am currently institute president and Stake Gainesville YSA representative. At times can it can feel like a big task and easy to get overwhelmed. But having these calling has helped me love each person I encounter. I have come to see how the Lord teaches one-by-one and is very mindful of each one of us. I learned to have more charity and love those around me by serving them. I volunteer with different organizations in town it helps me be involved in the community. One of my favorite places to volunteer is Give Kids the World which I got the opportunity to work with children with chronic diseases. It touched my heart to see all these wonderful kids and strong families. I was so blessed for the opportunity to spend a weekend with them. We each have a purpose and I know that the best way to live the gospel is by example and as we do so we will see miracles happen in our own lives and in the lives of those around us. I am so grateful for the many blessing in my life for my wonderful family and those around me who are a great example. But most of all I am so very grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ for his infinite love because of him we can return to live with our Heavenly Father and our families forever. :)
