Hi I'm Alex

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest child in my family. I was born in Las Vegas Navada. I live in Wyoming. I love the outdoors. I enjoy dirt biking, trail riding, camping, and Snowboarding. I love building stuff, movies, and spending time with my friends and Family.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born a Mormon I was not active growing up. My father was an alcoholic. His problem caused a lot pain in our family. My parents divorced and remarried several times, but their relationship never lasted. My mother worked hard to raise four boys by herself. She worked all night, and then returning home she went all day, hardly having any time to rest. Though it was hard, things worked out, my mother always had employment, or just the right amount to pay the bills. She would always say “Heavenly Father is watching over us.” My mother is very faithful. When she prayed, she knew God heard her. Eventually my mom found and married a great guy. I didn't see it at the time I still had a lot of negative feelings, and wanted to protect my mother to keep her and us from more pain. We eventually moved to Wyoming. When we arrived I wanted nothing to do with God. Even though my mother was faithful and knew God had blessed us, I didn’t understand why he would let so much bad happen to us. I felt that he wanted nothing to do with me. I didn’t understand that it wasn’t God that hurt me. My family and new friends in Wyoming showed me that it doesn’t matter where anyone has come from they can still find happiness in life. They showed me that God loves me, and wants me to be happy. I found what my mother knew to be true. God truly is my Loving Heavenly Father he wants me to be happy. Through his son Jesus Christ I have found healing and forgiveness in my life, and the strength to forgive others. I have forgiven my father he made mistakes just like we all do. He is not a part of my life, but I love him. I know that God loves us all, and wants all of us to be happy. Through his son Jesus Christ anyone in any situation can find help to their problems.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by acting out what I believe to be true, that's why I made the choice to go out and to serve for two years as a missionary sharing with others what has blessed my life and my families lives so much, so that they can have those same blessings in theirs. I also try and help those around me. My brothers and I actively participate service projects. I have found that when I am helping others my life seems better. I have always been taught that when you are in the service of your fellow man, you are only in the service of your god.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Alex
We believe that the family is the most important social unit, and that we can be together forever, not just until death do you part. Living the Gospel of Jesus Christ helps families develop stronger relationships, and it brings a peace and love into the home. Show more Show less
