Hi I'm Alli Berger

I love to eat chocolate, swim, and go on adventures. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently returned from serving a mission for the church in Las Vegas; I loved it! The only thing that brings me greater joy than living the gospel is sharing the gospel! Now I am studying Applied Mathematics at BYU-Idaho and I will finish soon. I just love life! Some of my passions include: swimming, rock-climbing, exploring, eating, and playing games with friends/family. I love learning new things and discovering how I can be a better person. I love my life and I know all my happiness stems directly from the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

BECAUSE IT'S TRUE!!!!!! I love it! I was born and raised in an LDS family so I never had that one moment where I knew the church was true, rather, I've had instances throughout my life when the truth of different principles have been testified to me. As a child I always knew the church was true but I knew I'd have to find it out myself. After moving out to college and living the gospel on my own my testimony has grown so much and I know for a certainty that this is the one and true church. Everything about this church is real and true and I love how we can pray about it if we are uncertain. I have received answers to my questions and I know that the Book of Mormon is true and Joseph Smith restored the true church for God. I know that we have a true, living prophet on earth today- Thomas S. Monson- who leads us. It's so amazing and peaceful to know that we can be close to God, our Heavenly Father! He loves us and he wants us to return to Him. Everything about the gospel just makes sense and it's so cool. Put it to the test and learn/pray about it! I promise your sincere questions will be answered.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily; the gospel is my life! I live an ordinary life, but I have learned quickly that my happiest days are the ones when I am reading my scriptures, and praying and thanking my Father in heaven; everything just falls into place and I'm more at peace. I think it's so incredible how we can have the tool of prayer so we can communicate with our Father, and the resource of scriptures to read His words. I strive my best to follow the example Christ has set for me and by living by those teachings (such as serving/loving others, listening to uplifting music, attending church, etc) I am soooo happy!! Each day I can feel closer and closer to my Heavenly Father.

Are Mormons Christians?

Alli Berger
We are most definitely Christian! We believe in Jesus Christ and accept him as the Son of God. The differences we have in our religion are that we believe God thee Eternal Father, his son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost as three separate beings- a trinitarian notion never set forth in the scriptures. Another difference is that we believe in continuing revelation and we have a prophet on earth today who speaks with God and receives direction from Him. Show more Show less
