Hi I'm Lisa

I am a recent BYU-Idaho graduate, I am an aunt to 13 amazing children, I am a veterinary technician and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recent college graduate, I love animals and it was always my dream to work with them - now I am living my dream as a veterinary technician! I have a horse that I love - she is another life-long dream come true for me! My mom and I enjoy riding our horses together on my brother's property. I am the youngest of 5 children and have 13 nieces and nephews (soon to be 14). I love them all so much! I love children - they are so innocent and sweet and there is so much we can learn from them. I love to crochet and I have taught myself a lot of different patterns and stitches, I especially love sharing my creations with my family and friends as gifts. I enjoy learning, especially about God's creatures, I love to learn from them as well. Currently, I am trying to teach myself to play the guitar - I feel like I am unlocking a whole new dimension to the talents God has given me as I learn new songs and play them for my family and friends. I also love to teach. I have had many opportunities to teach at church throughout my 21 years and it is something I love doing. I know that my Savior died for me and I know that our Heavenly Father puts people and creatures in our lives for our benefit and learning. Obviously, I love life and I love this gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family and as a result I have been lucky enough to learn about Christ's gospel all my life and I have always felt it is true which is why I continue to follow the teachings of this Church. I feel blessed to have had the Church in my life all my growing up because I have had the opportunity to hear the teachings all my life and feel the Holy Ghost testify of it's truth and still have the chance to decide for myself if I want to continue to be a part of this Church. I know of the joy, guidance, happiness, stability and blessings this gospel can bring to my life and I cannot imagine living a life that is not devoted to my Father in Heaven and living His teachings.

How I live my faith

I am an active member in my ward. I serve in as a Sunday School teacher and I enjoy teaching the gospel and learning with those in the class. I try to live my faith by being the best person I can be and doing what I have been taught is right for as long as I can remember. I love to serve and I love to put a smile on people's faces.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Lisa
I believe that the core purpose of life is to be happy and that means returning to our Father in Heaven. I know that I came to this Earth at this time for a special purpose. I believe that part of that purpose was to gain a body and to be tested and tried, to choose good from evil, to experience happiness and consequently, sorrow and hardship. I know I am here to learn and become more like my Heavenly Father even though I know perfection is not something I can obtain in this mortal state. I know I am meant to create a family that can be eternal and I must accept my Savior and His Atonement. If I do all these things and be the best that I can be, my Heavenly Father will welcome me with open arms into His kingdom. Show more Show less
