Hi I'm Lauren Kasparian

I'm a student. I'm an adventurer. I'm a life-long learner. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently studying Family and Consumer Science at Utah State University! To me, expanding my horizons and discovering new things means truly living. I am a music-lover: I sing, I play piano, and I have a budding relationship with my new guitar and ukulele. I love design and am always finding ways to make my surroundings more beautiful. From a very young age, my parents instilled in me a deep love for God and for His creations. I love to laugh, to organize, to write, to travel, and most of all to just spend time with those I love!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. It is as simple as that! I love knowing who I am, why I am here, and where I am going. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has provided the way for me to find the joy that comes from knowing my Savior, Jesus Christ, and to know that He is always there for me. This gospel has given my life meaning and fulfillment that I have not been able to find anywhere else. There is something about being a Mormon that makes my soul feel completely at home. It helps me see my true worth and potential as a child of God, and this has given me the confidence to live a life full of righteousness, optimism, kindness, and strength. I have learned for myself that when I choose to follow Jesus Christ, I am blessed with a joy and peace that is greater than I could have ever imagined.

How I live my faith

I believe that living your faith is less of a grand show of dedication but rather something that translates into all the little details of your day-to-day life. For me, I try to make Christ the center of everything I do. I always plan in time to study the word of God and ponder on what He is trying to tell me each day. I pray constantly. I look for evidences of His tender mercies wherever I go. I love to volunteer in the community, from visiting the elderly to helping with humanitarian aid. In whatever situation I am in, I try to be aware of those who may be alone or in need of friendship and make an effort to reach out to them. I am always looking for ways to serve others, to build them up and help them know that they are loved and valued for who they are. I spent 18 months of my life serving as a full-time missionary in New York, devoting all my time and efforts to bringing people the happiness that I have felt because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I strive to be someone who can genuinely help others know Christ just by being who I am.
