Hi I'm Joseph

I'm a Southerner. I'm a missionary. I speak Spanish. I love sharing the Gospel, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My name is Joseph S. Bourgeois, I'm named after the Prophet. I'm Cajun French, born and raised in Louisiana. I'm the oldest of 3, and I'm 21. I'm a Uncle, to a new nephew! I love football. The New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers, Geaux Tigers! I love seafood, and love to stay in shape. I've worked as a pipe technician, at a nutrition store, and as a bouncer, at Cabela's, and a waiter at a seafood restaurant. I'm serving as a Zone Leader in the Utah St. George mission. (Nov 2011- Oct 2013) I was born into the church, which is a huge blessing in my life. I know I wouldn't be the person I am today without the Church, friends, and family that I have. I love the Gospel and love sharing the message of Jesus Christ with others. I'm very grateful for the Atonement and how I can apply it in my life. I know that the Gospel blesses families. I'm so grateful for the privilege I have to be a missionary and to serve Christ! I'm truly in debt to my Father in Heaven now more than ever.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that this is God's true church on the earth today, that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are at the head of this church and they direct the leaders accordingly. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testiment of Jesus Christ. That Jesus Christ cares for us and loves us as if we were his only child. I know this Gospel will make me a better person, and help me strive to do what is right. It teaches me to be more like Christ and will bless my life depending on my obedience, and help me become closer to our Savior. I know what the prophets say and have taught are true, and that they are the Lords mouthpeices on this earth today.

How I live my faith

Being active and exercising my faith by going to church, and church activities. Church has played a huge role in my life by strengthening my testimony and showing me how the Savior lived. It also helps with decisions I've made if I have a question I pray, and if I need guidance I look for answers in the scriptures, listen to church leaders and that helps me to become a better person and strengthen my relationship with Jesus Christ.
