Hi I'm Ian

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work as a project engineer at a natural gas processing plant. I'm married with two kids. I love cycling, and have a child trailer so my kids and I can enjoy a ride together and give Mom a break for an hour or so. I'm trying to teach my son to skate so we have something to do in the winter as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church at age 12, the first member of my family to do so. When the missionaries taught me their lessons, I knew it was true. It felt like doing a jigsaw puzzle - when the pieces are right, they fit perfectly. The rest of my family joined the Church afterwards, and I had the privilege of baptizing my parents when I was 16. My parents always made family a priority, and I try to do the same. The most wonderful teaching of the Church to me is the promise that our families can exist into eternity, if we are willing to follow Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I'm responsible for the sunday school teachers in my ward, and for providing support and resources for teaching. We've just finished a teacher improvement course, and will do another next year.
