Hi I'm Larry

I was born in Georgia. I lived in New Mexico, Utah and Florida before returning to Georgia. I love Georgia and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My sweet wife and I are "empty nesters" but spend as much time as possible with our grown kids who recently graduated from college. No grandbabies yet. I am a solo practicing trial attorney with my office only about a mile from my home. I am very fortunate to be able to avoid the Atlanta rush hour traffic and even get to come home for lunch most days. I enjoy watching sports (that I used to enjoy playing in my younger days) on TV and occasionally my wife and I will make a trip downtown to watch an Atlanta Braves game. I also occasionally enjoy doing small carpentry projects. No skill but lots of desire. We have some really great friends at Church and in the neighborhood. I have have been blessed with a great life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church and tried to follow its teachings because of very good parents who loved the Church and taught me well. I did not come to know for myself the Church is true until I accepted a challenge to read the Book of Mormon when I was 18 years old. That was a big challenge, considering the only book I had read cover to cover before then was "Pistol Pete - Basketball Magician". A very good book but not life changing. When I read the Book of Mormon, for the first time I came to know that I am a child of God and that He loves me and all of his children on earth. I was then able to read and truly appreciate the Bible and its teachings about the life, atonement and love of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is a second witness of Jesus Christ. Over the years I have read many books for work and leisure, but none can compare to the joy and life changing impact the Book of Mormon has had on me for good. I am so grateful that I have the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life to teach me the great plan of salvation, the importance of respecting and loving all of God's children and to have the knowledge that we can all live with our Father In Heaven after this life as families if we only obey Christ's teachings.

How I live my faith

My Church responsibility at this time is assisting the full time Missionaries find others who would like to learn about the joy the Church offers. When I was young I was able to interrupt my college education to serve a two year full time Church Mission. Nothing in my life then or now has brought more joy to me that sharing with others the teachings of Jesus Christ and to see the joy in their lives when they come to know of Jesus Christ's love for them and His plan for their lives.
