Hi I'm Steven

and I am most definitely a Mormon.

About Me

I love spending time outdoors, whether it be camping, hiking, going to the beach, etc. I'm a college student studying Biology, even though I'm currently taking some time off from school. I love joking around, telling stories, listening to rock music, and I love to relax. I love my family and friends, and I love to spend as much time as I can with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church to two wonderful parents. My parents have great testimonies of Jesus Christ and his church, of which they have shown to me and my siblings by word and by deed. We always went to church, and I always followed and believed after the faith of my parents. However, I believe that there comes a time in everybody's life when they have to figure things out for themselves. That time came for me in my freshman year of college. I found myself inside the church, believing that it was true and participating actively in it, but I realized that my belief was weak, as I had not had any strong personal experiences to support my belief. So I began to find out for myself if the faith in which I had lived my whole life was true. I spent much time reading the scriptures (especially The Book of Mormon), and much time praying to my Heavenly Father asking him if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints really was his church. In response to these prayers, I received an unmistakable answer from the Holy Ghost that yes, this church is the true Church of Christ. Beyond that, I have lived the teachings that are taught within our church and I have found that when the teachings are followed, that happiness results. And it is for these reasons, and many more, that I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live the best way that I know how. I believe in being respectable to others, being honest, and trying to make others' lives more enjoyable. I currently teach others about how to come closer to Christ, which is a thing that brings me great joy. I try each day to become more like Jesus Christ and do what he would do if he were here. I know I'm pretty far from being like him, but hey, I'm working on it.
