Hi I'm Josh

I grew up in Utah. I love to make sandwiches. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a pretty cool young man as my mom would say. I love sports! Football, lacrosse, baseball, basketball, soccer, etc. If it involves competition and exercise then it is for me. Sandwich making is an art. I have made some pretty good sandwiches in the past. I am real big into four wheeling at the sand dunes. A four wheeler can never go to fast when it is gliding on sand. I am a big brother with two younger sisters. My family is cool and we are pretty tight. I have been to some college and I think it is much better then high school. At least its more fun. I love to listen to music and I can play the guitar a little bit. I also love doing service for others and help in any way I possibly can.

Why I am a Mormon

I was actually raised in the Mormon church. Both my parents are active members. But there is always sometime in a persons life when they question why their parents do what they do. I was curious as to why we were practicing as Mormons instead of any other faith. I went to the main source which is called the Book of Mormon and decided to read it. I prayed and asked God if this book is true. Eventually God answered my prayers and as I read I found the book was helping me come closer to Jesus Christ. I know that the Book of Mormon is true which entails to me that this church is true.

How I live my faith

Like most people I attend church services every week. I read from the Bible and Book of Mormon each day. I even listen to christian music. One thing that I believe is real importent to do is to be like Christ the best I can. The church sets up values and encourages us to be even as Christ is. So every day I am looking for opportunities to serve. Right now I am serving the Lord on what is called a two year mission. For these two years we go out and share a message that brings much happiness into the homes of many families. This message is what brought happiness into my life and as I see others listen to the message and find happiness, it brings me great joy.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Josh
We do baptisms for the dead for the simple fact that God loves each and every one of us. Baptism is an essential part of gaining salvation. Every person deserves a chance at salvation, so we do baptisms for the dead to give everyone that chance to accept the ordinance of baptism. Show more Show less
