Hi I'm Alicia

I'm a California native, I love water and ice, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in California and spent some time living in Europe. Through the years I wanted to be an astronaut, rocket builder, Olympic figure skater, Broadway performer, doctor extraordinaire, linguist, ballroom dancer, world explorer, super nanny, gourmet chef, world peace advocate, and secret agent. It was hard for me to choose a major in college, as you can imagine! I ended up studying language and culture. Everyday we can learn something new.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. But that isn't why I stay in the church. The feelings I experience while living the teachings of the gospel express to me the truthfulness of it all. I am happier. Despite the ups and downs of life, we can find joy in the journey.

How I live my faith

Over the years I have had opportunities to serve, working with all age groups. Right now I have the privilege to serve as missionary for a year and a half in Northern Georgia.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Alicia
Search, Ponder, and Pray.  Heavenly Father made it possible for all his children on the earth to know the truthfulness of the restored Gospel. By reading the Book of Mormon and praying to God in the name of Jesus Christ, you can know if this is true. If all of it is true. You will know by the influence of the Holy Ghost, by the feelings and thoughts that come. Something that has helped me is asking myself questions. How do I feel when I am reading the scriptures? How do I feel while I am at church? Even, If I do this, will it bring me closer to Christ? Asking myself questions and honestly answering them help me to better understand the influence of the Holy Ghost. Some feelings of the Spirit include: gentleness, goodness, peace, love, and joy. And it is is through the Holy Ghost that Heavenly Father communicates to us. Show more Show less
