Hi I'm Ethan

I'm from Walla Walla, I play the drums and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've always had an interest in computers, both the hardware and software. I love music as well and play the drums. Life has been an adventure and I've met some great friends along the way.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, yet after my parents got divorced life was hard. Through frequent church attendance and great friends I came to realize the significance of being a member of this church and the real blessings that came from being such. I know my Savior Jesus Christ lives. I know that we have a loving Heavenly Father who knows our true potential and wants to help us if we but ask. That knowledge alone has helped me through hard times, knowing that the future is bright and that we always have someone to turn to. We are never truly alone.

How I live my faith

As a youth we visited elderly members of the church and befriended them. We sang to them. We helped them move. We talked with them about their lives and about the Gospel of Christ. I have also made the decision to serve a mission, declaring the Gospel of Christ in a new place, away from my family and friends for two years.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

If an ice-cream truck pulled you over and tried to give you a ticket, you probably wouldn't take the situation too seriously. An ice-cream truck doesn't have that authority! The same goes for baptism. Our Heavenly Father has restored that authority and it is through that authority that we may be baptized as Christ was and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Certainly not! Joseph Smith was chosen to be a prophet, called of God to restore the Gospel of Christ in its fullness back to the Earth. We respect him as a prophet of this dispensation but do not worship him. Show more Show less

How is the Book of Mormon different from the Bible? How did Joseph Smith obtain the “golden plates” or Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ, containing the fullness of Christ's Gospel. Prophets in the Americas, way back in the late B.C. era and early A.D. era, wrote on golden plates to testify of Christ and preserve the Gospel of Christ in its fullness. Joseph Smith found and translated these ancient records by the gift and power of God. Today it is called the Book of Mormon. Show more Show less
