Hi I'm Amanda

I grew up in a small farm town in Idaho. I love to read. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am Amanda. I am in my early twenties. And I have chosen to leave "my life" for eighteen months to serve a mission in Western New York. Before I choose to serve a mission, I was a college student, worked at a job that I enjoyed, and spent time with my family. I enjoy being outside and active. I also read, alot. But truly the person that I am has come from being a member of the The Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

Everday I am bombarded with question like the following, "You are just a Mormon because your parents were Mormon". That is part of the reason. I was born into this Chruch. But I have chosen to continue living it because I have found for myself that it is true. This is Christ's Church restored to the earth today. Through the Church, I have found greater peace and joy. I am learning how to draw nearer to my Savior and Redeemer. It is because I am a member of Christ's Church that I am able to have peace and hope for a better world.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday. I am currently serving a mission for the church. It is my way of saying "Yes, I am a mormon and this is what we believe". Sometimes it is hard to be a missionary. Thats what we do 24/7. But it is worth it. We are following the Savior's call to serve others. Just in a different capacity. Everyone is needed in different capacities there is no such thing as lower calling.
