Hi I'm Casey

I'm a Missionary, Surgical Technologist, brother, uncle and son. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to do my best to serve other people. I have the privilege of working and serving other people as I go to work each day. I get to work in a hospital, in the operating room and participate in performing surgical procedures. I enjoy the medical field and witnessing the hand of a loving Heavenly Father in His childrens' lives. It is also a unique experience to see the inside of the human body; I marvel to see how everything works together and is connected, from the largest down to the smallest parts and structures. I can't help but think something so intricate and amazing must have had a divine designor. Currently I am serving the people in the Northeastern part of Georgia for two years. I look forward to returning home and attenging college to further pursue a career in the medical field.

Why I am a Mormon

I was taught by my awesome and loving parents at a young age to follow the counsel of God's prophet. There have been many trials in my life and has come a point which has caused me to sincerely evaluate my faith, and of necessity, "figure things out" for myself. I have learned for myslef through much study and prayer that we are children of a loving Heavenly Father. He cares for us so much that he has given us everything we need to be happy on our journey on Earth. We are not alone, God still speaks to His children through His prophets. He indeed appeared to the young Joseph Smith in the Spring of 1820 and chose him to restore the church Jesus Christ Himself established. I know as I follow the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and teachings of the prophets, I find the greatest fulfillment in my life, my perception of self worth and my love for God and my fellow man. Through modern revelation, we are able apply the teachings of Jesus Christ and his Gospel and Atoning sacrifice in our life more fully. The invitation is always open to ask God. He will answer, I encourage you to try it!

How I live my faith

I do my best to follow the teachings of the Savior each day. I also have the great opportunity to serve and share the things I know to be true with the people around me. Perhaps the best way to show what you know is to live it, and that is what I try to do. As members of the church we also get to serve our fellow members in many capacities. Our clergy are not paid so we all have a chance to do our part to build the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth and improving the lives of all of Heavenly Father's childern.

What does Mormonism teach regarding baptism?

Casey
Jesus Christ himself taught that unless a man be born of water and of the spirit he can not enter into the Kingdom of God. Baptism is necessary to gain salvation and must be done by God's authority which is only found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Show more Show less
