Hi I'm Emily

I live in Alberta and love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to be in the outdoors, take advantage of wherever I might be. I try to hike in the mountains as much as possible. I also appreciate all the cultural uplifts around me through media, the community, museums, galleries, festivals, people, music, food and dance. I am a daughter, sister, cousin, aunt and grand daughter.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints beacuse I know I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and knows me better than I know myself. He wants what is best for me and has provided a way for me to return to live with him again. I have a Savior, Jesus Christ, who has atoned for my weakness', pains, and mistakes. I know that it is through His grace that I am able to do anything. I know that this is the fully restored Church established by Christ and restored in this day through Joseph Smith. I know the Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ and that it has great power for good in our lives, that it was written for me and you at this time. I gained a sure knowledge of these truths around age 13. I came home from a church meeting where the challenge was made to find out for ourselves if the Book of Mormon was true by praying and asking the Lord. I decided to take up the challenge, I prayed and received my answer that this was truth. Since then I have been ever so grateful for that experience and have relied on this knowledge for peace, comfort and motivation in life.

How I live my faith

I have had great opportunities to create and organize personal growth activities for the women's organization and family nights. I have served as secretary for multiple women groups. I enjoy attending festivals in the city and have learned the best way to attend is to be a volunteer.
