Hi I'm Tom

I'm a soldier, a writer and I grew up in Minnesota. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have five boys, two of whom are married, and three grandchildren. I have been a soldier all of my life. My family used to move a lot, but we have been in one place now for a long time. I occasionally travel with my job, but I most enjoy staying home with my family, watching TV, and visiting friends. I really like getting together for the holidays, particularly Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because when I was searching for the truth I read the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon inspired me join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and to go on a mission to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I studied Japanese for two months in Laie, Hawaii. Then I served in the Japan Fukuoka Mission for 22 months. Serving the Lord Jesus Christ changed my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by providing for my family and making sure that they have been taught the truth. It is up to each individual to decide to follow the path truth. Reading the scriptures helps me to feel peace during difficult times. Prayer is the way that I find answers to difficult problems in my life.
