Hi I'm Nia

I grew up in Tonga. I love spending quality time with my husband and kids. I love playing volleyball. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a devoted wife and a mother to 2 incredible boys. They occupy my time most of the day and I love to play and giggle with them. Our favorite thing to do is to wrestle and tickle each other on the floor. I love to cook, especially to try out new recipes. In my spare time, I love to read and to work on craft projects. My husband and I love watching movies. I love to dance when I get the chance=) I love learning new things and doing things that challenge me. I have graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Political Science but am interested in pursuing a career in the Medical field when I get a chance (in the future=)). I love my family very much and they are everything to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church and during my teen years I just cruised through gospel life by the testimonies of my parents and others. When I attended Brigham Young University Hawaii and when I got married I knew I could not rely on others' testimonies only. I knew that I had to have a testimony of the gospel and its principles. I now have a very strong testimony of the gospel. I know that if I always make the right choices I would have the blessings of the companionship of the Holy Ghost to guide me through my everyday trials and through important decisions that I make. I know that living the gospel to the fullest will make me the happiest. I know that families can be together forever if we are faithful and endure to the end. I have a strong testimony that the Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that if we pattern our lives according to His we can be perfected in Him. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Him as well as the Bible and that the Prophet Joseph Smith was truly inspired to translate the Book of Mormon and establish the Church of Jesus Christ in these latter days.

How I live my faith

I do my best to always be the best person that I can be whether it be a wife, mother, daughter, visiting teacher or a teacher. I teach some of the young women at church on Sundays. I have grown to love teaching and love those that I teach. I know that if I live what I teach and always do everything to be worthy of the Spirit then the Holy Spirit will be there to help me teach on Sundays. I know this applies to Visiting teaching as well. I know that having these callings are important in the work of God and that the Bishopric were inspired to call me to my callings. I love my visiting teachees and I look forward every month to go visit them so that I can get to know them better. I know that people can be answers to prayers and so I do my best to be there for those that I teach and to know their needs. I know that experiencing trials are a part of life so I do my best to prepare myself so that I may triumphantly overcome these trials. I love to read the words of God whether it be the scriptures or the words of latter day prophets. I try my best to diligently read, ponder and pray about the scriptures that I read and relate it to my life. I know that there is a little bit of heaven at home when I strive to be close to my Heavenly Father through scripture study, prayers and making righteous choices.
