Hi I'm Beci

I'm a high-energy lady! I'm a wife, a mother, a snow boarder, and I'm happy to say... I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised right in the bubble of Utah Valley. Second oldest of six children, though two have passed away. I love the outdoors, traveling, dancing, and meeting new people. I lived in New York and Connecticut for a few years working as a nanny for some wonderful families, and I also lived in Georgia serving as a full-time missionary. I am married to my best friend and adore the beautiful little boy we created.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon home, but didn't always follow the teachings. It wasn't until I was living in New York and my life was shaken up that I decided it was time to figure out what I really believe- not just because of how I was raised. Trials dropped me to my knees, and I turned to God for answers. I came to know, for myself, the truths that I had been taught.

How I live my faith

I listen to and act on promptings and impressions that I feel, trusting that when it is good or brings me closer to God it is what He wants me to do. I strive to find opportunities to serve and lift others, treating others with the love and patience and kindness that the Savior exemplified. I aim to continually progress in knowledge and build my relationship with our Heavenly Father, coming closer to Him as I follow His teachings and live my life in a way that is pleasing to Him.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Baptism is essential to return to live in our Heavenly Father's kindgom. Because God is loving and fair, everyone will be given the opportuntiy to be baptized. There are many who are not baptized in this life, but with the authority of God someone can be baptized in their name (as proxy) and the individual will be able to accept or reject it, in the spirit world. Are Mormons Christians?

YES! I believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior and the only way! I pray to the Father in His holy name, and I strive every day to follow Him. I read the Book of Mormon because it adds to my personal testimony that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and our Savior. Show more Show less

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

Forgiveness of our sins. Constant companionship of the third member of the Godhead. Comfort, guidance, witnesses of truth, spiritual gifts, and so much more. Show more Show less

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

It is what we know to be true. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer, and that He atoned for us. I know that He restored His church to the earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith, and I know that the Bible and The Book of Mormon are God's word to testify of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Learning about Him and following His teachings. As a missionary I taught people about Jesus Christ and His restored Gospel, and then encouraged them follow what He taught and what He expects of us. I try to apply the same principles to my life now: Study the gospel, and then put my faith into action and do what the Savior taught. Show more Show less

What is the First Vision?

It is when God the Father and Jesus Christ the Son appeared to a young man named Joseph Smith in Palmyra, New York in 1820 in response to his humble and sincere prayer seeking truth. What is being a Mormon like?

The most wonderful thing ever! You are guaranteed to have friends where ever you go because the church is all over the world. And the great thing is that the church is the SAME anywhere you go. So no matter where I move, I know I have a network of people with my same beliefs and values, learning the same thing as my family and friends around the world. Plus you always have people willing to help you, even if they don't know you! Show more Show less

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?
