Hi I'm Konrad

I am a Grandpa and Educator. I love kids, fixing things and helping people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My parents are Swiss immigrants and my mom a covert to the church. Although I was tone deaf as a child, learning to play the violin developed my ear and love for music. I like to work with my hands and build all kinds of things. I graduated with an Art and teaching degree and am currently involved with teacher training. I love my family and the title of 'Gram-pa'. I have also achieved the goal of running a marathon a few years ago. If the knees and back hold up I may think about another ------someday.

Why I am a Mormon

Although raised in the Church, I have come to know for myself that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true and living it brings real joy to life. I have had a personal experience with reading the Book of Mormon and praying about it. I received an undeniable witness of its truthfulness. I am grateful to know that God knows me personally and loves me in spite of my weaknesses. By understanding and applying the Atonement and sacrifice of the Savior Jesus Christ - I can become better and more like Him. I also know that the Savior opened the doors of death. We lived several years in a mortuary apartment and assisted with the services. I constantly witnessed how comfort was provided to those who mourned lost ones and that the the veil of the grave is very thin. This life is only a stepping stone in our preparations to return back to the presence of our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I love serving people - mostly my family. I love my wife and five children and each has served a mission for the church. Recently we have become 'empty nesters', but look forward to assisting our children as the next generation (grand children) come along. I am also president of our Home Owners Association and just try to do my best to build the neighborhood. I have coached and assisted with many community soccer teams. I currently work with church volunteer teachers to provide high school and college age youth with weekly religious education classes - known as seminary and institute. I enjoy participating in community service projects and always try to find a way to help a neighbor.
