Hi I'm Lonnie

I grew up in Wyoming. I own my own business. I a full time mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of three Awesome daughters (7, 16 and 20) and two Fantastic Stepsons (26 and 28)! In the mix I have one Terrific husband . I am a full time working mom, own my own business and am currently working on my Masters Degree (MBA). I love drawing and painting and Broadway plays. I love reading, the Orchestra, Country and Western music and 70/80's rock. Camping, hiking, Disney and beaches are my favorite "get away" places. I love travel and love to learn about other cultures history. I am just a normal mom that loves being a mom, a wife, and my every day goal is learning and growing in the Gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

I have witnessed so many small miracles in my life. The birth of my children, their growth in life, and their individual journeys, as they are strengthen by the Gospel. I have also witnessed many blessings from the Lord like the conversion of my husband, who has been a member for the past three and half years, along with the day he received the priesthood and later when we were sealed as an Eternal Family. Through the miracles, blessings and Gospel, I have gained a strong testimony. I believe God is my loving Heavenly Father; I believe in the atonement of Christ; I believe that the Holy Ghost guides me every day; I believe that through ancient and modern day prophets and revelation, that the Lord has laid out a blue print for my successes and that I will be with him again some day; I believe in the Holy Bible (old testament and new testament) and I believe that the Book of Mormon works hand in hand with the Holy Bible to help me understand and strengthen that blue print; I know that the Book of Mormon is the Keystone of our Church delivered by the hands of a prophet and contains words of ancient prophets that also had witnessed Christ. I know there is modern day revelation and through the Doctrine and Covenants, Pearl of Great Price, and other church documents I can witness these revelations. I know I have found the true meaning of Family, Pure Love of Christ and Eternal Happiness. I know my Heavenly Father lives and Loves each and everyone of us. I believe that the Atonement shows his pure love. My family strives to live by his commandments, walk in faith, be strong and steadfast, and hold tight to the "iron rod".

How I live my faith

Callings are special blessings and ways to serve our Lord personally which I stand as a witness that when I serve diligently, I receive a multitude of blessings. For the past four years, I was blessed to serve in the Young Women's program. This program is dedicated to bringing young women between the ages of 12 to 18 unto Christ and preparing them for Eternal blessings that they can obtain through following the standards of Faith, Divine Nature, Individual Worth, Knowledge,Choice and Accountability, Good Works, Integrity and Virtue. As First Councilor, I worked with the Mia Maids(14-15 year old), then as Second Councilor I worked with the Beehives (12-13 year old) and as Young Women's President I worked with Laurels (ages 16-18). There were extraordinary moments with Girls Camp, Youth Conferences, dances, and other endearing testimony building moments. It was a fabulous spiritual journey. My goal was to assist in strengthening them and in return I was strengthened. The Youth of our Church are strong, talented and their testimony of truth shines stronger than the sun itself. I also accomplished earning my Young Women's medallion which I truly cherish. This has by far been my favorite calling, but I am sure there will be many more in the future. Recently, I was called as a Ward Missionary. I get to work with Sister Missionaries, my husband, and other Ward Missionaries to bring the truths of the Gospel to everyone that is willing to listen. I thought I was too shy to do this and that I would be older and retired before I got to serve a mission with my husband. This new calling is another blessing that will bring me and my family even closer to the Lord. In the next two years, I will embrace this new journey and look forward the knowledge I will gain and the growth obtained by serving the Lord in this magnitude. I am thankful for the different opportunities to serve the Lord. So ask me questions, I would love to talk to you about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
