Hi I'm Jeff

I'm a student and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 22 years old. I am from upstate New York. Right now I am living in Utah. I just returned from being a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in France. As a missionary, I changed cities pretty often. This is normally a pretty hard thing to do, but it has been a bit of how my life has gone. I have done my fair share of moving in my life already. I was born in Virginia, then I moved to Tennessee, then to Pennsylvania, to Indiana, and now to New York. The toughest of these moves was from Indiana to New York. That move was in the middle of my Junior year in High School. I was leaving everything I knew again. It has kept going though. After High School, I left for Utah to go to college. Then a year later, I was off on a mission. During my two year mission, I spent weeks in France and others in Belgium. Now, again, I am in Utah, far from home. Although these moves are always tough, I feel that I have learned a lot though them. I have learned to make friends quickly and to always look for the bright side of things. I love moving now and I do it with a smile. You will pretty much only see me with a smile on now. I am a very happy guy, I love the outdoors, I love sports, and I love life!

Why I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon...well pretty much for me it is the only way to go. I have found that through the Gospel of Jesus Christ and though His church, I can truly be happy. Some of the saddest times in my life have been when I have turned my back on this wonderful truth. Every time I do though, when I come to my senses and turn back, Christ welcomes me back with open arms. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Christ's church. He is at the head of it. I know it brings happiness to all those that are looking. I have seen countless blessings in my life from keeping His commandments, and I have seen the changes it brings about in my life and the lives of others. I know that God loves us and that he has provided a way for us to be happy. The way is here, it is just up to us to accept it or not.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example of what I believe. I do what I know is right, and follow the council of the prophet. I was also a full-time missionary in France and Belgium. Every day I went out and I talked to those who were interested about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I did this for 2 years. I got up at 630am and I went to bed at 1030pm. All the time in between was devoted to serving the Lord and proclaiming His gospel. I had and continue to have the opportunity to go out and teach those the healing power of the Christ's atonement and the warmth it brings to all those who accept it. Along with preaching the gospel, I did service for the community that I served in. We gave a free English Class once a week and offered to help anyone that needs a hand.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Jeff
If you choose to invite the Mormon missionaries to come and talk to you, they will talk with you about a variety of subjects. It is all centered around YOU though. They will answer any questions you have and they will share about our beliefs. They will help you find answers to some of life's biggest questions, such as "What is the purpose of life?", "Is there a God and how can I know He is there?", and "Is there a life after death?". Another thing that they will share with you is one of our central beliefs. That is, that God has called a prophet in our days. Someone who leads and guides the church and the world in general. Just like in times of old, God has again shown his love for us in calling a prophet. Show more Show less
