Hi I'm Danny

I'm a one-year convert, I'm a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was baptized in August 2010, and I am currently serving my two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Texas McAllen Spanish Speaking Mission. I attended my first year of college at Boise State University. I love being active and social. I am a very outgoing person and love every minute of my new life with the church. I like to play virtually any kind of sport, especially wrestling, swimming, football, and running. I also share a deep passion for everything outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I had never known much about being Mormon or any real information about the church. During my senior year in high school, i was faced with many trials and setbacks which made me fall into ugly temptations and had me more internally damaged than i could have imagined. An angel of a friend who had always been a close friend of mine realized my yearning for a better life and handed over to me her own personal set of scriptures. She told me to do what i pleased with it, because it will find me. Sure enough, i could not help but to soon be drawn into the prophetic pages within. The Spirit of the Lord truly testifies through the Book of Mormon. About one summer later i was baptized in the church and have never looked back since. Everyday i see the multitudes of blessings continuously poured out by my Savior to me. I would like to bear my testimony to you all that i not only believe that Christ lives, but i firmly know and understand everything my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, His Beloved Son, has shown me. I know that this church is true and that the Prophet Thomas S. Monson is a called Prophet of God.

How I live my faith

I enjoy my newly found faith in Christ probably just as much as any person would. I absolutely love being able to help others with their trials and tribulations. I find it most easy to help others because of my past, and i am able to show unto others the true strengths hidden deep within themselves. I know that my Heavenly Father has blessed me with the great gift of comforting others when in need. I find so much delight in striving to help others keep their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. I was once living without Him. Now i have made it my personal mission to teach others how to live with Him, and never forget Him, as He never forgets us.

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

Danny
There once lived a Holy man of God, a just man, and a righteous man indeed, named Mormon. He lived on the American Continent, but hundreds and hundreds of years ago. He was a man who took it upon himself to abridge the countless records of his people which lived here for hundreds of years before the coming of Christ, and also hundreds of years thereafter. The abridgment he made is now recognized as The Book of Mormon. The Prophet Joseph Smith, by the power and guidance of God, located and translated this abridgment for all in the world to read. We take Mormon's words to heart and soul, for it is another testament of Jesus Christ our Savior. Show more Show less
