Hi I'm Josh

I grew up as a surfer in California, became a snowboarder in Colorado, I'm a husband and father, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm a Dad of two litte studs, a husband, a sports enthusiast, and an IT auditor by profession. I love the outdoors and being active whether it's backpacking, surfing, and wakeboarding during the summer or snowmobiling and snowboarding during the winter. I love spending time with my wife and my boys. My boys like to wear me out by wrestling, running around, or asking me to fly them around. I also love to spend time with my parents and siblings, especially our big get togethers when we play games. I'm pretty competitive, and so is my wife, so we have a lot of fun. I also like to relax through reading a good book or watching a good movie. Comedies are probably my favorite because what's better than sitting around laughing with friends and family? I'm trying to get better at the guitar because I've always wanted to be good with a musical instrument but never spent the time as a kid to get good.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon first and foremost because I believe in a God who will answer your prayers and guide you to his truth, to do what's right, and to be a good person. I draw on my faith in God and Jesus Christ daily, whether its while I'm working on a difficult project at work, or while I'm trying to do what's best for my family. The strength of friendship I receive from other members of my local congregation is amazing and my faith in Jesus Christ is strengthened each time I am around them. I was taught about God and Jesus Christ by my parents as a child and came to the point in my life where I needed to know for myself if what they taught me was true. Through prayer and faith in Jesus Christ I came to know for myself that what I had been taught was true and that there is a God in heaven who loves me and wants me to return to him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being willing to serve those around me in whatever capacity God wants me to. He has given me certain gifts and talents to help me in this life and I want to use them to their full potential by being an instrument in God's hands in blessing the lives of others as many others have done for me. My faith in Jesus Christ is what makes me want to be a better husband, father, friend, and to serve others to the best of my ability.
