Hi I'm Chad Checketts

I'm an entrepreneur, student of life, husband, grandfather and a Mormon.

About Me

I am an entreprenuer. I have created a number of businesses that revolve around leadership and learning. I also have an interest in learning, acquiring experience, recognizing patterns and developing an ability to integrate this into lives. I am fascinated with the growing area of simulation as a means of providing learning and experience. I also enjoy blending work, service and enjoyment. I believe that the greatest contribution one can make to others is to share knowledge, experience and show them how to enjoy everything they do. Those who enjoy life most are those that find ways of enjoying whatever they do and blending work with pleasure.

Why I am a Mormon

I have experienced a great deal in this life. I have traveled exentsively and seen many life styles. I've interacted with people from many national, social and economic groups. I have experienced the difference between pleasure and joy. I have never experienced true joy from any other source than the teachings of Jesus Christ. I love His gospel and know that living it brings peace and joy. I have had the opportunity to share His gospel with others and have seen the joy it has brought to their lives as well. I love the Book of Mormon. It is a history of people searching for joy and a chance for us to see and learn from the cycles they experienced. It is a lense through which we can see and better understand our current lives. I know that there is a God, in whose image each of us is created and that He is the Father of our spirits. I know that he loves us and wants us to find and experience joy. He has provided for us not only sacred texts or scriptures to help us, but also a modern-day prophet that reveals His will and guidance to us. My life is a testimony of the difference integration of His teachings can make and the ultimate joy He has in store for each of us. If you would like to know more, I'd be happy to share what I've learned with you.

How I live my faith

While still working to provide for my family, I make time to serve in a bishopric (a leadership position in a ward or group of about 100 families) and with my wife in the Logan Temple where we do work for our ancestors. I love being able to plan my work so that I have time to serve ward members, family members and take care of aging parents. I also love being a grandfather of 8, soon to be 9. My life is relatively simple, but full of wonderful relationships with others that lift and add so much to my joy.
