Hi I'm Hugh Jones

I love Family, Music, Coaching Sports, being a builder, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born and raised in western New York and live near Lake Erie. I am of the Seneca Nation of Indians of the Wolf Clan. I love God, church, family, music, and sports, and probably in that order. My vocation is that of a carpenter and I am currently serving as branch president of one of our local congregations.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have experienced a spiritual witness through, what I believe to be the Holy Spirit, that God is our Father in Heaven, Jesus Christ is the divine Son of God. God and Jesus love us so much that they, as in times past, have called a prophet in our time, appeared to him in person, and given him direction on how to lead us all to salvation and exaltation.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through service to my fellow man, family and friends and my community. I love to study the scriptures because I just love learning and most importantly, it brings me closer to my Heavenly Father. I am currently serving as branch president of the local congregation, which is not the easiest thing to do, but I do it because the challenge brings me closer to God. One of the ways that I live my faith is to be of service to the members of our branch, through visiting, meeting and eating with them. I'm also able to share my talent of music with them which greatly enhances the fun times.
