Hi I'm Beau

I grew up on a farm in Idaho. I wakeboard, I dirtbike, I play ball, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well, I love being outside. I grew up living and working on a family owned farm in Idaho. From my house you can see the large Snake River; my two favorite things still are playing in the dirt and in the water. As long as I can remember I knew how to swim, ride a dirt bike, and even use a shovel. I am an Eagle Scout, I'm a member of the FFA, I am a certified scuba diver, and currently I am in Northern California serving a two year mission. Life is good.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew up in the church, I had to have a perfect reason to stick with it. Before and through my teenage years some of my family members chose not to follow this path. I often wondered why. I couldn't see any harm or negativity in the church; I was always surrounded by good people who wanted to help me and my family. As years passed I tried to do my best and be a good person as well. My high school graduation finally came and that summer I needed to make some big decisions. I had a lot of input from different groups of friends. However, I had two specific friends who were great examples to me in every way and that summer I was able to spend a lot of time with them and their families. I soon realized that the feelings that I had when I was in their homes with their families were feelings that I don't recall having in my own life growing up. I pondered and studied as to why this was and I soon came to know that it was because of obedience to the gospel. I dreaded the thought of living and not having what these families had in their life. They were filled with happiness and love, which is exactly what I wanted throughout my own life. This experience that I had along with others helped me to finally make the decision to go on a mission to share this happiness with others. I know that lasting and true happiness comes from following our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that He lives and that He himself guides this church in these latter days through a prophet who is called of God.
