Hi I'm Christie

I'm a Mormon. I have lived in Arizona my entire life, married my best friend, and recently graduated from ASU.

About Me

I am enjoying being married to my best friend. I recently graduated from ASU in Music Therapy and love to play the piano and sing. I also enjoy spending time with my husband and family, playing sports, cooking, and reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that living the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has brought happiness and peace to my life. I was raised in a Mormon family and loved the home I grew up in. As I grew older, I always believed what I was taught at church. However, I desired to know for myself that this Church was truly led by Jesus Christ. My testimony of the Gospel did not come suddenly or in a grandiose way. As I exercised faith to sincerely pray, study the scriptures, and experiment living the teachings of the Church, I came to know that the Church is true. I felt happy as I lived what I was taught. But more than that, I came to know that I am a daughter of Heavenly Father, that He loves me, and that He cares about each and every part of my life. As I try my best and follow the Gospel, I feel Heavenly Father's love for me, which brings greater confidence and happiness than anything the world can offer.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by taking time each day to pray, read the scriptures, and strengthen my relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. This daily study and prayer helps to strengthen my faith and bring the Spirit of the Lord into my life. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I also try each day to follow the example of Jesus Christ. I am continually learning to have greater love, patience, humility, and selflessness, qualities that Jesus Christ had. Another way I live my faith is through serving in my church. I currently accompany the ward (congregation) choir and enjoy the opportunity to associate with other members of the ward. I also am a youth leader for 12-13 year old girls. Along with another leader, I teach lessons on Sunday and have activities during the week with the girls. I feel that this service helps me to grow as I learn from the young women and watch their faith in God increase.
