Hi I'm Adam.

And Snapping turtles are angry creatures!

About Me

I have an awsome family, who loves and supports me, and I love them. I love knowing and understanding how things in the world work, I also find great satisfaction in thinking and working creatively. I hope to put that to work as an electrical engineer. If you talked to anyone who knew me they would probably tell you that I have a strange sense of humor and that I'm a little weird, but that's okay because everyone is different. I love the out-doors and seeing the beauty God has created for us. Hikking, camping, horse-back riding, and dirt-biking are my interests.

Why I am a Mormon

Science allows mankind to progress only so far. But if we have faith in God we can progress eternally. We gain knowledge from study and science and we also obtain knowledge from the Holy Spirit. In science we perform experiments. In religion we experiment upon God's word and thereby come to know that it is true. Living the teachings of our Savior has blessed my life, and kept my family together. I know that if we obey God we can be united with Him and our families forever. This knowledge has given direction and purpose to my life. The Book of Mormon has been my main source of direction and insiration from God. From it I have gained deeper understanding about the mission of our Savior Jesus Christ. From the Book of Mormon I also know that the fulness of the gospel has been restored.

How I live my faith

I learn as much as I can about about God and His will for me by scripture study, quiet pondering, and prayer. I look at everything in my life as an opportunity from God to learn and grow. I try my best to take advantage of opportunities I'm given. I share the gospel and I do my best to live it. I try to be kind to others and look for opportunities to help and serve others.

How is the Book of Mormon different from the Bible? How did Joseph Smith obtain the “golden plates” or Book of Mormon?

Adam.
The Book of Mormon and the Bible support and enrich one another. They are both the Word of God. The Bible was written by the Jews and the Book of Mormon was written by the ancient inhabitants of the Americas. Joseph Smith was shown where to find the "golden plates" by the angel Moroni. They were buried in what is now New York, by the authors of the record, the Nephites. Show more Show less
