Hi I'm Rick

I grew up on the beach in Southern California not knowing what a Mormon was. Today I live in Idaho and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, father and grandfather. I have a Masters degree in Public Administration and I manage the IT department for a city in Idaho. I love to travel - especially with my family. I am passionate about running and staying fit.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the Church. My wife was raised in a Mormon home and I could feel a difference in the homes of her family and LDS friends. I knew that I was missing something. I met with the missionaries and was taught the Gospel. I decided to read the entire Book of Mormon before making the decision to be baptized. As I was reading one night, I had an over-whelming physical witness that what I was reading was true. If the Book of Mormon was true, then the Church was true. I was baptized shortly afterwards. I have been a member of the Church for nearly 28 years. Other than marrying my wife, joining the Church has been the best decision of my life.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as the Bishop of my congregation or Ward. As a Bishop, I am ultimately responsible for all aspects of the Ward. That includes the spiritual and temporable well-being of each member. I have a special responsibility for the youth, especially the young men. I am also responsible for the finances and records. This is an unpaid position, but it is very rich in blessings and is very gratifying.
